☆ Personality

Moke is described on his official profile as "a genius mixed-race boy with an IQ of 168 and a well-known hacker". He's the youngest of the VSINGER group and also its resident otaku often posting on forums or playing video games. Aside from this, he's also a big fan of street dancing.

As a result of his otaku nature, Moke is usually not good at taking the initiative to talk to people. He reveals his homebody/couch potato nature only in front of familiar people, such as other VSINGER members. An update to his character bio in 2017 states that he fears loneliness. He has a sense of dependency on the others in the VSINGER band and wants to be useful to them.

☆ Brief History

In 2011, a contest under the name VOCALOID CHINA PROJECT was held to determine the design of China’s first VOCALOID. Chinese VOCALOID fans could submit their own designs to be chosen by Shanghai Henian— the first place winner would become a VOCALOID while the runner ups would be their promotional companions.

A design for a boy named MOKO, drawn by saku, was chosen as a runner up design. Illustrator ideolo was called in to tweak the designs of the winners, and "MOKO" was changed to "Moke", along with major design changes. In the winning submission by saku, MOKO was shown with a bird, a concept which was kept in Moke's final design as his character mascot named Fei. Promotion soon began for the first place design, Luo Tianyi, with Moke featured as a supporting character.

In late 2016, Qingxian and fellow VSINGER character Zhiyu Moke were confirmed to be receiving VOCALOID voicebanks. They would both make their debut at VSINGER LIVE 2017 performing their respective demo songs. The two of them received redesigns for their VOCALOID4 voices by VSINGER’s key artist at the time, TID, who also designed the key artwork for Tianyi V4 and Tianyi V4 JP. Moke's design became much more detail heavy and added in sailor outfit elements, as well as piano motifs (to call back to Moke's role as the original VOCALOID CHINA PROJECT's pianist). In future appearances, a 3D model of this VOCALOID4 design would be made and used in concert/offline appearances.

Moke and Qingxian were the last releases for the VOCALOID4 engine in August 2018, as while preorders for their voices were still ongoing, YAMAHA unceremoniously released VOCALOID5 on July 12th.

Moke's popularity in China is the low compared to other characters of VSINGER due to receiving his voicebank so late. However, he's more popular overseas than some of his other VSINGER counterparts. Hi russian moke fans
